【暑期海外培训】西安交通工程学院2025年暑期赴澳大利亚教师团访学交流、培训教师学习心得(二)

为深化推进我校教育国际化战略,聚力提升教师团队的育人水平与教学质量,助推高水平、标志性教学成果的涌现,学校于7月20日至8月2日,派遣了16名优秀教师前往澳大利亚开展为期14天的访学交流、培训活动。这些教师包括各院系的专业带头人、教学名师以及中青年骨干教师。期间,教师们参与了现场教学与实地考察,在访学交流、培训结束后,每位教师提交了学习心得。国际处从中精选部分内容,分两期与大家分享。

公共课部

My recent study visit to the University of Adelaide from late July to early August was an eye-opening experience that not only broadened my understanding of English language teaching in an international context but also provided me with hands-on experience in integrating advanced AI teaching tools into my teaching practice. This visit to the University of Adelaide not only enhanced my teaching skills but also contributed to my personal growth. The exposure to various teaching philosophies and methods from an international perspective has made me more adaptable and open-minded.By understanding the effective use of AI in language instruction and observing best practices in action, I am now better equipped to create interactive and engaging learning environments for my students. I believe that embracing technology in education is vital for preparing students for future challenges. I am excited to continue exploring innovative teaching methods and to instill a love for learning in my students.

My short-term study at the English Language Centre of the University of Adelaide was a deeply rewarding experience that surpassed my expectations. It gave me the opportunity to refine my language skills, observe world-class teaching practices, learn how to make my class active, and engage meaningfully with an international community of learners. More importantly, it reminded me why I chose to be an English teacher: to empower learners to express themselves, connect across cultures, and thrive in global contexts. The program has strengthened my ability to serve my students more effectively and inspired me to pursue further professional development opportunities. I leave the program with a renewed sense of purpose, a stronger command of English, and an enriched pedagogical toolkit. I am confident that what I have learned here will have a lasting impact on my career and my students’ learning journeys. In the end of this report, I also want to thank my colleagues for their kind-hearted helps in my daily life and study.We will actively apply what we have learned to our work at school.

During the intensive 40-hour on-site training, I systematically studied three core modules: international teaching strategies and intelligent technology applications, simulated teaching practices, and EMI classroom language enhancement. Not only did this training program provide me with cutting-edge concepts and practical methods for AI-empowered education but also it inspired effective pathways to integrate AI into labor education curricula. These insights have laid a solid foundation for future curriculum reforms.Moving forward, I will focus on developing personalized learning platforms for labor education through teaching research activities, standardizing data collection practices, and organizing digital pedagogy demonstrations. These efforts will drive continuous innovation in labor education, contributing to the cultivation of new-era college students with both a work ethic and innovative thinking.

In the process of teaching practice, AI is integrated into teaching, fully considering and respecting the personalized and differentiated development needs of students to enhance their spiritual pursuit and quality of life through higher education. In the design and implementation of talent training programs, more attention is paid to linking students' personal needs with social needs, academic development and career development, exploring results oriented differentiated teaching models, strengthening the governance ability of universities, and enhancing students' subject status.Teachers are the guides of the teaching process, and they must be indifferent to fame and fortune. They must start from the interests of students, promote the spirit of educators, fully devote themselves to the teaching process, change the traditional teaching mode, cultivate a good teaching atmosphere in universities, put the center on students, and not be rigid in teaching. They should make full use of modern teaching methods to a greater extent. The application of AI tools in teaching can make classroom teaching forms rich and colorful, and ultimately achieve high-quality teaching goals.

The two weeks in Adelaide were more than just a training program; they were a revelatory window into the future of education—a future that is collaborative, personalized, and intelligently enhanced by technology. I return to my classroom not only with a new digital toolkit but also with a renewed passion for student-centered teaching and a clarified pedagogical vision. The challenge and opportunity ahead lie in skillfully weaving these technological threads into the rich, complex tapestry of education, ensuring that our classrooms become more innovative, efficient, and responsive while retaining, and indeed enhancing, the essential human warmth, mentorship, and inspirational dialogue that lie at the very heart of true, transformative learning. This exciting journey of integration and discovery is just beginning.

The AI-Powered International Teaching Innovation Program at the University of Adelaide was a truly valuable experience. It improved my teaching ideas, methods, and skills, and most importantly, broadened my international vision and deepened my understanding of AI in education. As a university teacher, I feel a strong sense of responsibility. In the future, I will work to turn what I learned into real teaching reforms, so that students in innovation and entrepreneurship classes can benefit from advanced teaching approaches and also build the core skills they need with the support of AI for the future.At the same time, this program gave me the opportunity to meet outstanding educators from a variety of disciplines. From them, I not only gained genuine friendships but also learned many admirable qualities, such as sincerity, mutual support, and a rigorous, professional approach to teaching. Together, we formed a collaborative team committed to mutual growth.
