Its main responsibilities are:

1.To establish and maintain connections and cooperation between Xi’an Traffic Engineering University and universities, educational institutions and relevant organizations abroad (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions);

2.To recruit and manage long-term and short-term foreign experts (foreign teachers) working at the university;

3.To undertake the application and review of official study-abroad programs, and to be responsible for the liaison, review, management and coordination of all types of Sino-foreign cooperative education programs;

4.To sign inter-university exchange agreements with overseas (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) institutions and manage cooperation and exchange programs;

5.To handle the application, management, preparation and hosting of international conferences;

6.To complete the official overseas dispatch procedures for all faculty and staff of the university on official business;

7.To provide interpretation for university-level foreign guests and translation for foreign affairs exchanges;

8.To be responsible for the foreign affairs website and external publicity;

9.To conduct daily office management (documents, archives, materials, equipment, finance, asset registration, safety, hygiene, etc.);

10.To undertake other tasks assigned by higher authorities and the university’s leadership.
